We urgently appeal to the international community to extend support for the rehabilitation of AGH, as the hospital has suffered extensive damage to its infrastructure, and its facilities have been subjected to looting. This dire situation underscores the immense challenges faced by the dedicated staff of Adwa Hospital and the people whose lives depend on its services.
Presently, the Hospital is expected to cater to over 140,000 patients annually. On average, approximately 11,700 patients seek medical services each month (equivalent to 390 patients per day), a figure that closely aligns with pre-war numbers. However, due to the destruction incurred, the hospital is currently unable to operate at its full capacity.
AGH is currently unable to provide the necessary services. The hospital faces several critical problems that need to be addressed.
